The FTB4700 Series is a plated brass meter ideal for water applications in the ranges 0.2 to 18 GPM. The FTB4800 provides a wide range flow metering in an extremely rugged stainless steel package. Single-jet simplicity combined with high quality jewel bearings result in long life and relatively high tolerance for problem fluids. Typical applications are chemical batching, proportional chemical injection, fertilizer injection, proportioning of spray chemicals, and general flow rate monitoring.
The FTB4700 is available with ½ or ¾" male thread, with union-type meter couplings. The FTB4800 is available with ½, ¾ or 1" female threads. A square wave output makes the FTB4700 or FTB4800 series ideal for many OEM control applications. This signal interfaces easily with programmable logic controllers and computer input boards. The FTB4700 or FTB4800 Series meters can be combined with the DPF701-A panel flow meter for reading flow rate or total flow, with 4 to 20 mA output.

Good value product but customer service was a messProduct is good bang for the buck, delivery lead time was horrible with multiple missed delivery promises. Turns out if you buy more than one (2 in my case) don't request them to be shipped complete (shipped together to save freight). Omega told me that if they received one it would not be held to fill my order. Instead the one would be shipped to someone who only bought one. my oder wouldn't be filled until they received two at the same time

Works great - with pull-up resistorworks great down to 0.2 gpm. Requires a pull-up resistor for the pulses. Fortunately, I had seen the technical description of the similar FTB-4607 because the 4707 manual made no mention of it. Powering from a +5V signal directly from my DAQ, and works just fine.
Is a pressure drop diagram available for the FTB 4705? The quoted maximum pressure drop is quite high and I'd like to confirm the meter is applicable for my project.

Is calibration certificate included. If not, can it be a option that we purchase.
Asked by: Tommy Li
We can offer a certificate of conformance which states that the unit meets published specifications.
If you require a NIST traceable certificate with points, we suggest you look at https://www.omega.com/pptst/FTB100.html

What is the minimum temperture of the flowmeters? Will it go down to at least -80C
Asked by: Chris W
Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, there is no minimum temperature rating for these units. Based on the PVDF components, temperatures below -40F would not be recommended.
