If you want your pizzas to come out cooked to perfection every time, you need to make sure that your oven temperature consistently maintains the right temperature. However, with employees constantly taking pizzas in and out of the oven, keeping the oven at a consistent temperature can be challenging. An automated temperature control system lets your employees focus on other aspects of their job – such as taking orders and making the pizzas – while giving you peace of mind and ensuring every pizza is delicious and cooked perfectly.

Steps for building this project
Automating your pizza oven requires only four simple steps:
- Insert the thermocouple in a central area of the oven to get the best uniform control and attach it according to mounting instructions.
- Connect the thermocouple to the temperature controller and program it to your desired temperature.
- Connect the control side of the relay to the temperature controller output.
- Connect the power supply, fuse, relay, and then finally the controller together in that order.
How it Works
By placing a thermocouple temperature sensor inside the oven and connecting it to a temperature controller, the controller can receive continuous and accurate real-time feedback on the oven’s temperature. The controller uses this information, along with its programed temperature set point, to send a signal to the relay to allow power to the pizza oven to heat up or cool down to maintain the desired temperature consistently.
