The RDXL6SD-USB is a six-channel touch screen data logger that accepts four thermocouple and two RTD inputs. Each channel has individually configurable HI/LO alarms. The intuitive touch screen interface allows each channel to be configured separately for input type, math, alarm, and display options. All six channels can be displayed and logged simultaneously or individually. Data can be logged as fast as once a second and is stored on the included 4 GB SD card in Excel compatible format.

The specs online state Spring Clamps for RTD channel 5 and 6, but one of the two user manuals show a stereo 3.5 mm connector. Can you please confirm the connector type?

Asked by: Pitch9
The RDXLSD-USB uses spring clamp terminals the older RDXLSD used the 3.5mm stereo connectors.

Are the channels isolated?

Asked by: R123
The channels are not isolated and when measuring conductive material we suggest using ungrounded thermocouples.

Hello, I am trying to use port 5 and 6 and having no luck. (It says you can use two wire PT 100 wire) so I am trying with K type thermocouple wire. should this work? Is PT and thermocouple the same. Please advise great magical one lol thanks

Asked by: LaserMan
Thank you for your inquiry. This model accepts four thermocouple inputs for ports 1 through 4 only, and 2 PT 100 RTD inputs for ports 5 and 6 only. PT 100 RTD sensors are not the same as type K thermocouples. We offer a wide range of PT 100 RTD sensors for you to select from from our website.

How often do I need to calibrate this logger?

Asked by: Phil Zhou
Omega recommends calibration at least once per year and more if used in a critical application.

I am having a problem figuring out the Data logging.   I put the thermal couple in oven.  And hit the start button.   But when I stop it and hook it up to the computer there is no files to view.    What can cause this ?  I’m guessing a human error.

Asked by: Laser guy
The Data is stored on the SD Card which you remove and download into the SW and when you use the USB cable it is a live connection directly to the SW on your computer. If you still have questions contact the temperature group at temp@omega.com.

is it possible to display live data to laptop? do you have any laptop software to display live data?

Asked by: Muzahid
Hello, thank you for your question. The free software in the product page can be used to display live data, change settings, and log data. Alternatively, if you want to integrate into your own software, you can use the Modbus over USB interface instead.

I am looking for a similar unit to pass through a continuous oven of up to 400F. Do you have a one with an appropriate shielding case? Time at temp is less than 30 minutes, say 60 minutes absolute worst case. Also, I need to measure product temp not air.

Asked by: Johnny111
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not carry the item you are looking for at this time. Maybe in the future.

What is CAL-3?

Asked by: bbrad
Thank you for the inquiry. CAL-3 is for the optional NIST traceable calibration certificate. This is a comparison of meter readings against our lab reference standards. Best regards OMEGA
