Product Specs

Low profile load cells are basically compression and tension/compression load cells. Mounting holes and female threads provide easy installation. Used frequently in weighing research and in-line force monitoring.

The LCHD is also available in metric configurations, with ranges from 0-2.5 to 0-10,000 kgf and metric threads. Please see the LCMHD for complete details, or contact our Pressure department for more information.

What is the maximum allowable torque due to side load on the load cell, while measuring compression load?

It sounds like what you are looking for is the maximum allowable bending moment due to a side load. Although it may vary depending on the load cell capacity most ranges should be able to handle 25% of capacity in inch pounds. For example, a LCHD-2k, with a capacity of 2000 pounds, would be able to withstand a bending moment of 500 inch pounds. Yes, Our IN-USBH will convert the 3 mV/V analog signal from the load cell to a high speed USB output

What is the frequency response of the load cell?

Thank you for your inquire. Even though these load cells can not be used for dynamic application. They do have a fast response of 3 Milli seconds

Can I operate the load cell in a vacuum?

Hi, you cannot use the LCHD series load cells in vacuum due to out-gassing issues. We nonetheless, can customize the load cell by drilling a hole through the body till the region where strain gauges are adhered and vacuum the air inside the load cell. You must then be able to use it. This will be a custom part. If you would like please provide the load range and email our Tech Support engineer back for a quote. Thanks.
