Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thermocouple Ready for use, simple connectivity, durable product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great thermocouple I’ve been using this type of thermocouple throughout my career for engine and cooling applications for years. They work great and are very reliable.
Date published: 2022-01-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Made, Inexpensive Well made for something that can be disposable because it does not cost much.
Date published: 2021-03-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small J Type Thermocouple I was looking for a very small, J type thermocouple that would fit flat against a glass surface without an air gap. This self adhesive thermocouple, model SA1-J-72 met all of my needs and I was very relieved that it has 72" leads which is a big plus.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not very adhesive poor adhesion. would not stick to cleaned stainless steel pipe
Date published: 2020-12-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sticky as Maple Syrup. When the surface is cleaned and prepped properly, these will stick to just about anything. Be careful contaminating them with your finger tips -- usually can only get one good use out of them before they lose their tackiness which is to be expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of Surface Thermocouples Nice quality device. Each TC was individually wrapped. The connector end has a professional looking strain relief on it. The only thing that might be an issue (and it could be either a positive or a negative), is the connector itself is sealed. On the one hand, users can't get into it and mess up the connections. On the other hand, if something does go wrong with the connections inside the connector, it isn't easily repairable and may not be repairable at all requiring the replacement of the device.

May I ask what is the transfer function (S-domain) of this sensor because I need to design a control system for certain application and I need the transfer function of this sensor.

Asked by: hakmi
Hi Hakmi, Thank you for the inquiry. We have not evaluated for this detail on response times. Testing has shown better than 0.3 seconds response time. Best regards, OMEGA

I had one peel off of a metal surface, can an adhesive be applied to re-attach it? If so, which one?

Asked by: Moosa
Thank you for your inquiry Moosa. You could use the OB-200 epoxy as an adhesive up to a maximum temperature of 175 C. Using the epoxy will be a permanent fix. You can also use any general purpose adhesive to reattach the sensor as long as it doesn't exceed the maximum temperature of 175 C.
