The LCGB Series comprises miniature low-profile compression load cells with excellent long-term stability. An all stainless steel construction ensures reliability in harsh industrial environments. These cells are designed to be mounted on a flat surface using cap screws to secure them to the base. A load button is integral to their basic construction for even force distribution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from high quality, reliable, easy to use I needed a good load-cell fast to re-qualifiy a press that had our manufacturing stopped. This load-cell was the answer. OMEGA had the gear at my door 7:30AM next day, and I had high confidence measuements 8AM. Great product. Great Customer Support. Fantastic experience

Hi, I'm using the LCGB-30k in a pilot-calender and need to re-design the force measurement. Does this sensor designed deform in force-direction when force is applied? Or can it be seen as static?

Asked by: SimonG
A slight deformation of the load will occur. At full load (30,000 lbf) nominal deflection is 0.003"

I will need a digital read out for this load cell. Which read out would be my best option. Thanks

Asked by: PLuke
We offer several digital readouts that are compatible with this load cell. https://www.omega.com/en-us/control-monitoring/meters/c/strain-meters

I am interested in using this load cell to measure the force being applied by different rocket engines sizings for a club at my school and was wondering what is the minimum force that can be measured by this load cell?

Asked by: jim27
This load cell is a mechanical device and should provide an output at any force it sees.

Will the 30,000 lbf model retain its measurement accuracy at lower applied forces of about 1000 lbf?

Asked by: SamJ
Generally the load will not be as accurate in the lower 10% of its range.

Would the 50,000 lbf model be able to measure a very small force such as 10lbf or would it not sense it because it is built for larger forces?

Asked by: jim27
Thank you for your inquiry, if 10lbf is the range that you would like to monitor we would recommend that you use a load cell that is closer to that range.

What is the size (diameter) of the wire that the 30,000 lbf model uses?

Asked by: SamJ
Thank you for your inquire mm (inch) 4.83 (0.190)

Is this load cell capable of handling an alternating current? If supplied with an alternating current, is it expected for the output signal to fluctuate with the excitation voltage?

Asked by: Corrie
Yes they will run on a low voltage AC signal (nominal 10V, 15V max). Your instrumentation you are reading the output signal with also have to be able to read the low level 20 mV AC signal that the load cell would output
