Product Specs

HTWAT Series silicone rubber heat tapes for pipes with thermostat control are designed for process temperature control, freeze protection, and supplemental heat. Applications include valves, pipe lines, bearings, filter housings, actuators and more. Wrap the flexible heating tape around the desired object you want to heat, set the temperature, and it will maintain heat at the set temperature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, hot, long lasting heat tape! We've been using this heat tape on machinery in our shop for 4 or so years. It runs at 400 degrees (highest setting) all day; the adjustable heat dial is great. It's very hard to find a quality, flexible, wipeable, HOT, heat tape in varying lengths (trust me I've searched high and low before I found Omega). We do need to replace it after 2-3 years simply because the tape cracks due to heavy use, but it still heats great even then. I would imagine if the tape was used in a more traditional placement it wouldn't crack at all (ours is looped tightly in and around tight small fittings). It's very easy to use, the "cool" tab at one end of the tape comes in handy for positioning when hot (if needed). Will be using these unit for many years to come. Omega has always had great customer service all these years as well. Thank you!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heat tape failure I bought 3 heat tapes to heat some valves to allow our product to stay warm. The adjustment of the tape is so course it is either too cold or scorching hot and burns our product. We were forced to remove them from our system.

Does this product require any controller to control the voltage or would it be safe to plug into a typical outlet? What does this product require that is not shown here? Thanks

The HTWAT series heating tape with built-in thermostat can be plugged into a standard 120 volt outlet directly. A separate controller is not needed as this heater includes an adjustable thermostat to control the temperature.
