Description

A load cell summing box (also known as a J-box) accepts inputs from multiple load cells and combines their outputs into one output that represents the total load. All load cells should have the same capacity and outputs within 3.2% of each other. For larger variances, resistors must be added. Load cells that are trimmed to 0.25% interchangeability or that have output tolerances of less than ±3.2% will work without additional resistors.

Is there a way to figure out if the potential meter are functioning correctly? I have 3 strain gauges connected and trying to calibrate them to show the same mV/V for the same weight. As shown in the video. The problem is, the mV/V doesn't change.

Is a jumper needed between the SIG+ and SIG- if only 3 load cells are being used?

Asked by: Derek123
No jumper is needed on the terminals of the unused channel

1. Is this product CSA approved? 2. Can this be installed in Class 1, Div 2 area? 3. What will be excitation voltage for the output? Is it the same as one of the load cells (assuming all load cells are the same)

Asked by: Saeid
Thank you for your inquiry, here’s the answers to your question. Is this product CSA approved? NO 2. Can this be installed in Class 1, Div 2 area? NO, This unit would need to be installed behind the barrier 3. What will be excitation voltage for the output, Is it the same as one of the load cells (assuming all load cells are the same) Correct
