Is there a min/max torque for these thermocouples? Are there any other boundary conditions to be aware of when attaching these?

Asked by: lbarret
Thank you for your inquiry lbarret. Please send an email to tech support at temp@omega.com.

Does the 0°F lower process limit apply to thermocouple types other than type J? (e.g. can a type T version of the 'WT' sensor accurately measure temperatures below 0°F?)

Asked by: KirkR
Thank you for your inquiry. We do not state an accuracy for SLE Wire-Made Products below 0°C (32°F). Can they measure below 0°C? The answer is YES, however, accuracy shows it is no longer linear. If you want an accuracy for a SLE Product we suggest that you get a CAL-4 Calibration Report at an additional cost for temperatures below 0°C.

Two Questions: 1. Where is the thermocouple measurement made? Can you cut off the bolt hole without affecting the performance? 2. Are these made in an un-bent configuration?

Asked by: bchynoweth
Thank you for the inquiry. The thermocouple tip ( sensing portion of the TC) is pressed within the washer. You will notice the small channel on the shoulder of the washer. You could cut off the bolt hole being careful not to cut in to the channel. We do not offer a flat version. Best regards OMEGA

Are any of these t/c made with stranded wire? I need something that is flexible. If so, what is the Dynamic Bend Radius?

Asked by: Greg B
Hi Greg, These are all made with solid wire. Please use 3 x wire diameter for minimum bend radius. Thinner wire will hold up longer. You might consider the SA1-K or the SA1XL-K as alternate. Best regards OMEGA

For the WTK14-60 washer housing, the spec shows the total length is 1" (25mm). But it seems there is a bend on the length and what's the actual length for the contact surface? Thx

Asked by: AlbertY01
Thank you for your inquiry. The length of the bend is approx. 0.45"
