This Series is a range of high quality, low cost, compact sensors which measure the temperature of inaccessible or moving objects and materials. They measure temperatures from -20 to 500°C (-4 to 932ºF), accurately and consistently, with an outstanding response time of 240 ms. Infrared (IR) sensors are available as either 2- or 4-wire units. Twowire IR sensors transmit the target temperature as a 4 to 20 mA output and offer a simple solution for most non-contact temperature measurement applications. Four-wire IR sensors transmit the target temperature as a 0 to 50 mV or thermocouple output (Type J, K or T) plus the internal sensor temperature as a 4 to 20 mA output. This second output can be used to ensure that the sensor is being operated within the correct ambient temperature limits and prevent damage caused by overheating or overcooling. It can also be used to give an approximate indication of the air temperature surrounding the sensor. IR sensors are fitted with precision germanium lenses for accurate optics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy & User Friendly device Bought a 2 wire 4-20mA Temperature sensor, got it with safest packaging possible and timing was also great. Sensor itself is simple and easy plug and play device, no hassles or complications on installation. Great build quality and durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I bought these sensor in conjunction with some FDC temperature controllers and they work great on the rice parchers they were installed on. We will be purchasing more after season to convert the remaining 16 parchers to no touch temperature monitoring. Very happy with these sensors.

Hello, For the non-contact temperature with 4-20mA output for the low temperature model (OS301-LT), is there an online reference curve/values showing signal to temperature values? Thank you

Asked by: antoinelk
Thank you for your inquiry. The 4-20mA signal has a linear relationship with the temperature range on the sensor.

I saw in the documentation that it could "be ordered with a longer cable attached." What other lengths are available?

Asked by: Ransackum
Thank you for your interest in our product. We can offer up to 30 meters (98 feet) maximum total cable length. Please email the product model number along with the cable length requirement to temperature@omega.com for pricing and lead time.

We looking for ice temperature sensor. (OS-301-LT) The sensor should be installed at 20 feet from the target. With 30:1 ratio the spot size is still good. Does it can read up to 20 feet away?

Asked by: Chose
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes this device can read 240 inches away.

I'm looking for a non contact temperature sensor that can read up to 10feet away. It also has to read clear liquid. Do you offer a sensor that would work? It needs to be outdoor rated.

Asked by: sfrendle
Thank you for your inquiry sfrendle. Unfortunately, we do not offer a non contact temperature that can measure the temperature of a liquid. Our sensors can only measure the temperatures of solids.

Where does it show the temperature? Can it be programmed to display the temperature to a TV?

Asked by: Rubs
Thank you for your inquiry. This device does not come with a display. You can choose a display from this link: https://www.omega.com/en-us/control-monitoring/meters/c/universal-input-meters
