confusing chart
I ordered and received heater ribbon for my radiant heater but the charts from which I tried to determine the proper thickness of ribbon was confusing for an electrical layman such as myself. Therefore, I purchased ribbon that did not allow my heater to heat to its full power, barely warming a few inches in front of it.

What is the thermal density of this wire? It states 28W/in^2 but this is a unit for thermal flux not density. Can you please clarify weather this is suppose to be a thermal density or a thermal flux?

Is there a coating or an insulation on the surface? Can this be used to heat up a metallic surface without shortcircuit risk?

Thank you for the inquiry. These do not have insulating coating. So they cannot be used on an electrically conductive surface.

please can you tell me how much current and temperature it can withstand?
