OMEGA’s DP20 series new universal panel meter delivers high performance in a 1/8 DIN size for panel mount, and integration in a wide range of applications. The DP20 accepts universal inputs, including thermocouple, RTD, process (mA & Vdc), resistance, and true RMS voltage and current. By configuration, it will work as an AC and DC voltmeter (up to 600 V) and AC and DC ammeter (up to 5 A) offering application flexibility for process control and industrial requirements. A single universal power supply allows this unit to be suited for global use.
Introduce Omega DP20 Series The optional relays, analog output, and Modbus® RTU serial communications provide customization, control and communication capability. Additional features of the economical DP20 panel meter include scaling, NEMA 4 (IP65) protection, and programmable decimal points.

Nice meter for the price
My application was to display rpm on a mill, where the speed control produced a 0-10v signal that corresponded to 0-4500 rpm. The DP20 was easy to program for that use and works well. Be aware the case is very thin, and the clamps are plastic so it's not as robust as you might be used to.

Does the job but ...
I may be a bit dense about these things, but I found the nested menu/push button configuration complicated. In the end I got the scaling and alarms set up as I needed, but I'm not sure I could explain how I did this. But, in the end it works well as advertised.

Panel Meter
I found just what I was looking for with the Omega Engineering DP20-M1 panel meter. Simple installation and easy to configure. For support, Omega Engineering has a very good manual online for this unit which is great.

Does the DP20-S1 come with the female screw terminals included?
This unit has a terminal block with jaw-lock screw terminals.

I am using this with thermocouples, is the meter calibratable?
Thank you for your inquiry. This unit is not calibratable.

I see that there is a place for "units". Is this digital that needs to be programmed? Or is this just a label, and does it come with a sheet of labels? I will be needing RPM and Amps
Thank you for your inquiry. This device does not display units of measure digitally. It is the user responsibility to interpret the units of the value displayed.

we have this controller hooked to a PX119-1K. We have set the scale to D.Lo to 0 and D.Hi to1000. unit still reads -250. we have gone through the manual many times and set it up both ways for 4-20mA. - Please help
Assuming you are using the internal excitation on-board the DP20. Jumper "S" on the PCB should be on position "D" Jumper "T" should be bridging pins 1 & 2. The positive lead from the sensor should be on Term# 5 of the Input terminal block. The negative lead should be on Term#2. Verify that you have the 15VDC excitation be measuring between terminals 5 and 4 with a DC voltmeter. Make sure you are choosing Process input and 4/20 mA range.

Do you sell the small Blue retainer clicks separately? Our had gotta brittle and the meter doesn't mount well. If you do, please post a part number. Thanks Jeff at Teledyne Marine.

Can the relays switch DC? The manual only mentions up to 250VAC. I would be switching 24VDC
The only rating for the relays on the DP20 is for 250 VAC at 8 amps. There is not any DC Voltage rating.

Hi, I have an omega DP20 meter, question, is it a need to drop a transient voltage suppressor across my signal inputs to protect against voltage spikes or is the DP20 capable of handling such an occurrence? Thanks
Thank you for your inquiry. Voltage Suppressor is not required for voltage input signals.

I have a failed NEWPORT IDP-0/E and was wondering if this would be an equivalent replacement when used with an input of 4-20 mA. Meter is only used to display values. Also can this be used outdoor exposed enclosure?
Thank you for your inquiry. The DP20 would have to be in a weatherproof enclosure to ensure long-lasting use.
