DescriptionView Temperature and Humiditywith a Web Browser
The OMEGA™ iTHX transmitter lets you monitorand record temperature, relative humidity, anddew point over an Ethernet network or the Internetwith no special software except a web browser.The iTHX serves active web pages to display real-timereadings, charts of temperature and humidity, or logdata in standard data formats for use in a spreadsheetor data acquisition program such as Excel orVisual Basic.
The virtual chart viewed on the web page is a JAVA™Applet that records a chart over the LAN or Internet inreal time. With the iTHX, there is no need to investtime and money learning a proprietary softwareprogram to log or chart the data.
Chart scales are fully adjustable on the fly. Forexample, the chart can display one minute, onehour, one day, one week, one month or one year.Temperature and humidity can be charted across thefull span [-40 to 124°C (-40 to 254°F)], and 0 to 100%RH or within any narrow range such as 20 to 30°C(68 to 86°F).
The iTHX is simple to install and use, andfeatures OMEGA’s award-winning iServer technologythat requires no special software except a webbrowser.The iTHX connects to an Ethernet network with astandard RJ45 connector and sends data in standardTCP/IP packets. It is easily configured with a simplemenu using a web browser and can be passwordprotected.From within an Ethernet LAN or over the Internet,the user simply types the IP address or an easy-to-remembername such as “Cleanroom5” or “ServerRoom” in any web browser, and the iTHX serves aweb page with the current readings.
All iTHX models that are on a LAN that isconnected to the Internet can trigger an alarm thatcan be sent by email to a user or a distribution listanywhere in the world, including text messages tocell phones and PDA’s.

The web page includes a link to a “web cam” or “IPcamera” (not included). If you get a message about analarm condition, you can quickly click on the link toview the actual scene over the Internet.
Sensor and Calibration
The iTHX transmitterscome complete with atemperature andhumidity probe formeasurement of a singlelocation. We offer achoice of industrial probesin 2" (with a 3' cable) or 5"length (with a 10' cable)instead of the commercialwand style probe which isdesigned for ambient indoorapplications.It is not necessary to take theiTHX out of service for routinecalibration. The temperature/humidity sensors areinterchangeable and can bereplaced for about the same cost as a typical calibration.OMEGA offers replacement probeswith optional 3-point NIST traceablecalibration certificates.
The iTHX is great formonitoring temperature andhumidity in applications such as:clean rooms, computer rooms,HVAC systems, pharmaceuticaland food processing and storage,hospitals, laboratories,semiconductor labs, electronicassembly, warehousing, museums,manufacturing, greenhouses and,farm animal shelters.
