The new OM-CP-TCTempX Series consists of 4, 8, 12 and 16-channel thermocouple data loggers with a reading rate of up to 4 Hz. X-Series devices ship with a standard USB-A to Micro USB cable for use with free OM-CP PC based software. The X-series has a high memory capacity and increased download speed compared to previous generations of product.
In addition, the OM-CP-TCTempX Series features individual cold junction compensation for each channel providing increased accuracy and response time, and if a probe is removed or severed during logging, the software automatically annotates the data. For easy identification, each channel can be named with up to a ten digit title. To maximize memory capacity, users can enable or disable channels.
The OM-CP-TCTempX Series are ideal for a variety of applications, whether it is remote temperature monitoring, or multiple points in a central location. Data from all channels is simultaneously logged. After the monitoring cycle is complete, data can be downloaded for analysis.

Rugged Stand-Alone TC Data Logger
Rugged piece of equipment that allows stand-alone logging of thermocouple data in multiple environments. Very easy to set up with the free software that is found on the OMEGA website. Retrieving the data is even easier. Just be sure to charge the battery before logging, and select the correct sample rate to avoid running out of memory. Great piece of equipment, we will be buying more in the near future.

Can the logger be activated/deactivated without a PC attached?
The X series does have a push button on the side where you can start and stop logging data.
You would have to first configure the device on the software, setting the start and stop times to 'manual', as well as the required recording interval, in order to activate the push button.

Can I read temperatures in real time, using just serial or modbus or something? (without using the software)
Hello, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this logger uses a proprietary software and protocols are not available. The software does include real time monitoring if this is something you would like to consider.

will this system accept integrated circuit temp probes (OM-2628-C1)?
Thank you for your question. The logger will only accept thermocouple sensors and not the OM-2628-C1.
