The OM-EL-USB-1-PRO-A data logger measures and stores up to 32,510 temperature readings
over a -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F) temperature range. The 316 SS case is corrosion, impact and water resistant to NEMA 4X (IP67) standards. The unit is powered by a 2?3 AA lithium battery which allows logging for up to 3 years. The user can easily set up the data logger and download the stored data by plugging the module straight into a PCs USB port and running the easy-to-use Windows software. Software selectable setup parameters include logging rate (1 sec, 10 sec, 1 min, 5 min, 30 min,
1 hr, 6 hr, 12 hr), start-date/time, and desired temperature units (°C or °F). Data can then be graphed, printed and exported to other applications such as Excel. The data logger comes complete with a high capacity long-life lithium battery.

Excellent!
I bought a couple of these to monitor and log temperatures used for cleaning cheese shredder cleaning. They turned out to be useful in many other projects; such as, cheese ageing at different temperatures, a hydraulic cooling retrofit, and the design of a wash down system.

Works perfect. Does EXACTLY what I wanted it to do
I needed a thermometer recorder for my recently completed solar powered lumber dry kiln. This tool allows me to record up to 32,000+ readings before I reset or sooner if I so desire. My max temp of 165 degrees F is well within its operating range. So far after running 2 loads through my kiln is has done everything perfectly. The optional reads on my computer of the downloaded data give me all of the information that I need to make better choices about time in kiln for different wood species and much other data useful for my operation. The only drawback I experienced was it was not originally compatible with my new Windows 10 program. I am sure that is fixable through the company. I had another computer handy and it works perfectly. One of the best business purchases I've made concerning this whole process

Perfect Performance
I bought this data logger, have used others in the past. The ease of use, data generated, and easy use, make this a wonderfully perfect tool to validate our process and HACCP/PCFHF programs.
I have used other data loggers in the past and there is no comparison to the performance of the Omega OM-EL-USB-1-PRO-A.
I highly recommend it. It is also easy to clean and sanitize if direct food contact is necessary.

Great tool to have
We bought this not too sure about the quality and if it would work for what we needed it for. So far very happy with it and its a great tool to have. It took a little bit to get it figured out on the computer, but overall no bad.

Where do we get the info on how to calibrate the logger.
Hi, regarding your question, there is no calibration procedure that can be done in the field for the OM-EL-USB-1-PRO-A. It would have to be shipped back to us for re-calibration, we recommend doing so at least once a year, depending on usage. Thank you.

What is the response time of this temperature sensor please? i.e. how long does it take to respond fully to e.g. a step or ramp change of input? We are looking for a small portable sensor with a time response on the order of minutes or less. Thanks!

Can I validate a pasteurization cycle with this unit that takes roughly 1.5 hours to complete?
