RDXL8 logger is in the end of its life cycle. As a possible substitute & upgrade, please check out Newest Released 8 Channel Thermocouple Data Logger OM-HL-EH-TC Series or 8 Channel Universal Data Logger OM-CP-OCTPRO Series for more advanced features with better price.
The RDXL8 with its high resolution and fast analog to digital converter will meet the data logging requirements in most industrial applications. The ability to show measured values and to analyze them on its graphical display eliminates the need to download collected data to a computer for further analysis. The RDXL8 is the perfect choice for remote logging, and ideal for use as a mobile measuring device for the industrial environment. The RDXL8 series multipoint data logger is valuable in the industry because of their ability to perform integrated recording, profiling and archiving functions. Driver no.RDVL8 V110715_V1.0.1 of RDXL8 is not working on Window 10 & 11. I am getting error message "No Free ComPort". Please advice what to do now.
The RDVL8 V110715_V1.0.1 is compatible up to Windows OS7. Please send a request to temp@omega.com to see if an update can be offered.

WHAT IS THE RANGE OF THE INSTRUMENT?
The RDXL8 operating range is 0/50C and the input ranges for each type is listed in the user's guide.

Can I get 8 thermometer lines that are IR instead of probes to plug into this unit? Also, how long can the wires be for the plugs?

We offered Self Powered IR Thermocouple sensors for example the OS36-K series which provides a type K output . The standard lead wire length is 36 inches .
They can be offered in various temperature ranges and field of views. A mini Type K connector GMP-K-M can be added to the stripped lead wires .

Please note the IR sensor will have to be evaluated with the meter for suitability due to its high impedance .
Details of your application such as Temperature Range both min and max, size and type material of the object that you are measuring, distance of the sensor to object , ambient temperature of sensor etc. will help us determine an appropriate IR sensor for your application

I had bought a RDXL8CD. How to adjust the temperature offset if example let's say the display temperature reading is 1 degree above the actual measured temperature?
From the user's guide on page 47 the CJC value can be accessed for each channel and possibly adjusted. If this does not work or you have questions please contact the Temperature Engineering group at temp@omega.com.
