Description
Les sondes thermocouples portatives OMEGA™ disposent d'une poignée moulée à la gaine de la sonde. Ils comprennent également un câble spiralé (extensible à 1,5m) et connecteur miniature. Le câble et le connecteur sont de code couleur suivant le type de thermocouple. Les gaines des sondes sont frabriquées à partir du câble à isolant minéral (MI) de tolérance de la Class 1, qui peut être déformée pour répondre à de nombreuses applications. Les gaines sont utilisables jusqu'à : 800ºC pour acier inox; 1150 ºC pour Inconel et 1335ºC pour SuperOMEGACLAD™XL pour l'usage à courte terme.

Awesome Two Foot Type K Thermocouple Probes!

Durable, reliable, do the job. Longer ones less so
Durable and get the job done. Only complaint is longer (36"?) ones come with a set screw to hold the probe in place, in little time this loosens and the probe spins freely on the handle. Causes failure. Set screw is so small that it strips out if you try to tighten. Shorter ones are molded right into the handle...

What are the response times for 1/16" and 1/8" diameter Inconel probe with extended tip. I need to measure the temperature of a Bunsen burner flame, up to 1550 degC; do you recommend this probe or something else?
Thank you for your inquiry Probing for Answers. Unfortunately, we do not have the exact response times for a specific diameter due to environmental conditions and the thermocouple junction type affecting the response of the probe. We can share that the smaller the diameter of the probe, the faster the response time. But a smaller diameter will also reduce your maximum temperature. If you want the fastest response time on a thermocouple, then selecting a grounded probe will be a good choice as it provides a faster time response than an ungrounded junction. What is the temperature rating of the coiled cord and connector?

The temperature rating for the cord is -267C to 260C (-450F to 500F) and the temperature rating for the connector is from -29C to 260C (-20F to 500°F)

What is the accuracy of this probe (KHSS-116 G-RSC-12) in F?
Thank you for connecting with Omega. The accuracy of this probe would be based off ANSI standards of a type K thermocouple. In this case accuracy is +/- 2.0F or 0.4%, whichever is greatest.

Is this probe good for -200 deg C when used with the HH12C thermometer?
Thanks for the question! Type K thermocouples are rated for -200C although Omega only tests down to 0C.

I have a KTSS-HH Thermocouple probe 6”, 0.125”, stainless steel , TSS-HH series . It is just a bit too short for my need. Do you sell 12’ long one in the same model? Could you please email me the exact link of that model form me so I can purchase it?

Would I be able to measure the temperature of a live circuit with this? My process uses an electrical current to heat up a resistor to slit our product with and I want to use this to measure that temperature.
Omega does not advise using any probes on live circuits and recommends only non-contact measurement like IR be used.
