With the high resolution and fast analog to digital converter (ADC), the OM-HL-EH-TC logger meet majority of data logging requirements in most industrial applications, 86000 data points each channel, real-time data monitoring & recording, sampling time 1 sec with all 8 channels on, logging interval sets from 2 secs to 24 hrs comes standard.

Unfortanate Purchase
I have tried to connect the OM-HL to multiple computers with no success. This after includes installing the driver provided on the website. Its too bad that this product doesn't work well.

Works as Expected
I was a little trepidatious in making this purchase based on the other reviews. However, this data logger does exactly what I need it to. It is well made and the software is easy to use, if a tiny bit outdated. For the cost, I couldn't find anything else with the capability. I found the manual to be quite helpful in avoiding some of the pitfalls that other users have fallen into. As long as you aren't expecting $10,000 performance out of a $400 machine, I think you will be happy with this purchase.

Perfect for general use
The whole logging/download is easy to use. I have to say I am very satisfied with this machine. Easy to use; easy to put into any tiny space; download data is super easy. Almost nothing to complain.
But, 8 channels are setup so tight that it is a little bit difficult to put all 8 channel TCs in the slots.

Does this come with a calibration certificate?
Hello, thank you for your question. This particular model does not include a calibration cert, only a certificate of conformance. If a calibration cert is required, you should order OM-HL-EH-TC-J-CAL or OM-HL-EH-TC-K-CAL depending on the thermocouple type.

Why do I keep having issued connecting to the logger. Windows keep saying USB Device not found. I have to uninstall and reinstall and it take many tried before I get it to work...Not Happy

We recently purchased 3 - 8 Channel data loggers. The thermometers are working fine, but the log function randomly stops working. The log function seemed to work without an issue in my office for a 3-day period, but not in the field. Any thoughts?

Is it possible to query the temperatures from the logger directly using the driver without using the Logpro software? I want to incorporate this device into a LabVIEW program that will query the temperatures periodically.
It is not possible to do what you asked for because the OM-HL series is not compatible with LabView.

Periodic spikes in temperature are recorded on all active channels with OM-HL-EH-TC logger and 5SC-GG-K-30-36 TC wire. Measurement is 25 - 90C with 5 spikes over 2 hrs at 150C. When unit under test is shut off no spikes occur.

1. Yes, it does have cold junction temperature compensation. You will be getting the actual temperature, please make sure you have it setup for the correct thermocouple type.
2. You could use this power adapter to connect it to the the wall instead of using batteries.
